Hi everybody,
I always admired the Shaolin. I don’t know much about it, but their way of thinking always fascinated me.
Also the way they learn how to defend themselves.
I know series like “Kungfu” with David Carradine probably don’t represent the real Shaolin lifestyle, but I always loved and love watching it.
Here is a video from the pilot of this series.
Recently I read the Facebookpage abut the Shaolin Festival in Los Angeles.
This is their announcement of the Festival:
“The 30th generation Abbot Shi Yong Xin of the world renowned Shaolin Temple of China is proud to announce the first ever Shaolin Temple Cultural Festival in Los Angeles California. This event will be the first of its kind and provides a tremendous opportunity for practitioners of the Arts to come together and showcase their skills in front of the the Abbot and his delegation of Shaolin Warriors. In addition to special lectures, demonstrations and interactive workshops, there will be a tournament where each contestant will have the chance to earn a special invitation to undergo two weeks of closed door training at the Shaolin Temple of China.”
The Festival will take place from the 8th till the 14th of October 2013.
