Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries Archives

Hi everybody,
As you can see on this blog I am a big fan of all sorts of series.
Today I am going to tell you a bit about the “Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries”.
By accident I stumbled upon these series and I love it very much!
What is it all about?
Miss Fisher is Phryne Fisher, a wealthy lady that starts her own private detective agency.
She is played by the excellent actress Essie Davis, who also had roles in “Game of Thrones” and at the moment in “the White Princess”.

Miss Fisher had a poor childhood and therefore enjoys the fact that she is rich now very much.
It means she can do whatever she wants and can help everybody she wants to.
Phryne Fisher is a very independent woman. She sleeps with a lot of men and enjoys that very much.
But while doing her detective work, she encounters police inspector Jack Robinson.
He is played by actor Nathan Page.

At first he doesn’t want to be involved with her, but as she crosses his path every time, that there is a murder and he sees how good she is, he starts to like her vey much. He appreciates the independent and brave woman she is. She obviously has a sharp mind too.
So they start working together. And slowly they fall in love too. 😀

In Miss Fisher household a lot is happening too. She gets the help of the excellent Mr. Butler, who always know what to do at the right moment.

Furthermore Miss Fisher takes Dot Williams in her house, a young woman that has no place to stay. Dot becomes her right hand.

The police inspector Jack Robinson has a right hand too. He is called Hugh Collins and he becomes Dot’s boyfriend.

Miss Fisher also has help from Cec and Bert, 2 taxidrivers and best friends. They help Miss Fisher when there is another murder, by making enquiries and all sorts of other things that are necessary to find the murderer.

And there are also Phryne’s aunt Prudence and a friend of Phryne, a lady doctor “Mac”. From Elizabeth McMillan.

Miss Fisher Murderies contains 3 seasons and if you haven’t seen it, I recommend it. It is fun and exciting.
We all are hoping that a film will be made. Essie Davis said, she certainly is in for it, so I hope it will happen!

“Phryne and Jack reunited again! Essie Davis and Nathan Page were in Melbourne recently to talk to the Every Cloud Productions team about the latest Miss Fisher installment; feature film Miss Fisher & The Crypt of Tears. They were both given advanced copies of the film script as we continue to develop and pursue financing.”
